JP Morgan just created their own
digital currency. It differs from other cryptocurrencies because it is redeemable 1:1 to the US dollar, and it can't be converted into other cryptocurrencies. It is meant only for making transfers, not for holding. Wolf Richter

I think this is the next logical step. Probably every major bank will copy this. At some point the Federal Reserve may make its own FedCoin.
