National Debt at $15.7 trillion

The national debt first broke $15.7 trillion on May 15, 2012. It first broke $15.6 trillion on April 2, and $15.5 trillion on March 1. The next major milestone is $11 trillion of debt held by the public, which should occur about June 1. The debt limit is $16.394 trillion, which should be reached about December 1.
