Chengdu is one of the largest cities in Southwest China, with 14 million people in the greater metropolitan area. It is one of the largest inland cities in China and it is more than 1200 km from the coast. Worth Metroplex with a population of 6.5 million, making it the largest metropolitan area in the South and the 4th largest in the country (behind New York, Los Angeles and Chicago).
