This was an electoral campaign leaflet, published in the newspaper France 3 Grand Est, in Truchtersheim where Brigitte Auziere is at the top of a list running against the incumbents in a municipal election on March 12, 1989. If she was born in 1953, then she would be 36 at the time of this picture. She did not win. At the time, her husband, Andre-Louis Auziere, is working for a bank in nearby Strasbourg. She is the mother of the 3 children.
Later she gets a teaching position at Lycee Lucie-Berger in Strasbourg, where she causes a scandal by getting involved with a young male student. But that is a different story.
This seems legit to me and she looks like the woman in the wedding photo (however, she doesn't look like the current First Lady of France). The only thing better would be if there was a picture of the unhappy couple.
Update: Could this be Monique (although Monique is almost 16 years older).
