Cheese - the perfect food?

This is just a crazy idea that I have that might work.  Could one lose weight just eating about 6 ounces of cheese per day?

A one-ounce serving of full-fat string cheese has 5 grams of fat (45 calories), and 7 grams of protein (28 calories).  (The total says 80 calories, so there is another 7 calories there somewhere, but which can be ignored.)
The Weight Watchers smoked string cheese has 2.5 grams of fat (22 calories), and 6 grams of protein (24 calories) and no carbs.

There are lots of diets out there that promote cottage cheese, but I don't see what is so great about cottage cheese as compared to regular cheese.  Cottage cheese does have carbs, but in low amounts. Cottage cheese is less calorically dense than regular cheese, but the idea is to satisfy hunger not to fill your belly.

The fat helps satisfy hunger, and promotes fat-burning.  The cheese provides some vitamins (A, B12), calcium, zinc and phosphorous. It is really a complete meal, except it doesn't have vitamin C or enough fiber, which a little fruit will provide. The only concern is the high amount of saturated fat, but there is really no connection between dietary saturated fat and the stuff that clogs your arteries.  Besides, I am not promoting eating only cheese forever, I am talking about for a short-term diet.  Anyways, I just wanted to throw this idea out there.
