The English Defence League celebrates St. George's Day

There are so many bizarre aspects to events that occur around April 20. This is another one. St. George (who is celebrated on April 23) is the patron saint of England, and thus the English Defence League (EDL), which is considered racist or at least far right.  Thus St. George and his flag may be considered racist.

St. George was a martyr who was killed for his belief in Jesus Christ. The EDL takes a strong stand against Islam.
